List of Tucson’s Top Breweries

Until we write our full guide to Tucson, here is a list of the best breweries in the Tucson area, according to Untappd, along with information about hours of operation and food options. This list will be updated frequently, but if you notice anything inaccurate on this list, or if you see that we accidentally left off a brewery, please kindly let us know and we’ll fix it as soon as we can! We strive to provide the most accurate and up-to-date source of brewery information possible. (For why we chose to sort by Untappd rating, please check out our FAQ.) And, as always, before going to a brewery, check their website or social media to see if they have food trucks on certain days, food delivery options, or irregular hours that day.

  • Not trying to be sour grapes here, but this is based on untappd ratings. As a business you can buy their service, which affects rating. As a good example, BlackRock won best in show at the Baja Beer Fest 2019 besting 25 IPA’s from across AZ, and has won other awards in local competitions. So just saying that the data set is limited. Lots of great breweries in Tucson!

    • We agree that Untappd is an imperfect method, as noted in our FAQ, which is linked in the first paragraph of the article. As we say there, “Don’t consider the Untappd score as some definitive ranking. We certainly don’t.” We’ve just found it a useful methodology to start our research into an area’s breweries. There are indeed lots of great breweries in Tucson, and thanks for sharing with our readers more info about BlackRock!

    • Just so you know, as a brewery we cannot influence our rating based on if we pay for Untappd or not. All ratings are based on actual customer feedback. That being said, yes it is indeed imperfect. Don’t be fooled. Breweries don’t pay Untappd for better ratings. If that is a thing, it’s something we have never seen with that app. At the end of the day, Tucson is full of amazing breweries. Each offering something the others don’t. So spread the love and drink at all of them.
